Second Chance Collection

Come forse vi sarete accorti da alcuni nostri recenti post o se la nostra Spam di facebook vi ha finalmente raggiunto, saprete che abbiamo presentato una piccola collezione di oggetti alla mostra “Instant Design: Pensieri commestibili” tenutasi alla Triennale DesignCafé a Milano.

Nelle prossime settimane vi sveleremo uno per uno la collezione “Second Chance” ma per adesso ecco un piccola presentazione per capire di cose si tratta

Second Chance  a Collection by TourDeFork

La collezione nasce dalla sperimentazione che TourDeFork sta portando avanti sul riciclo e il riutilizzo delle materie prime in cucina.

Come le tre ricette ad impatto zero create per Glamour lo scorso Luglio: Style.it

Second Chance trae ispirazione dalla tradizione popolare italiana che da sempre usa i “residui alimentari”,suggerendo una nuova possibilità di utilizzo.

Reinterpretando così in chiave moderna i gesti antichi,  TourDeFork propone una collezione di oggetti che offrono allo scarto, una seconda occasione di impiego.

Second Chance cerca di rendere attuale e di facile realizzazione la tradizionale abitudine del non buttare via nulla, cercando nuovi impieghi per gli scarti alimentari.

Second Chance sarà in Triennale fino al 14 Novembre

As you might have noticed from one of our recent posts or if any of our casual facebook spamming tecniques work, we presented a small collection of objects for the  exhbition “Instant Design: Pensieri commestibili”  held  at the Triennale DesignCafé in Milano.

During te next couple of weekes we will reveal The Second Chance Collection, one product at a time, but for now here is a small introduction to understand what this is all about.

Second Chance Collection by TourDeFork

The collection was born from TourDeForks recent research into the reuse and recycling of raw Kitchen materials.

Something similar to what we did with the three recipes for Glamour Magazine last July: Style.it.

Second Chance is inspired by local Italian folk tradition and ritual, which has always tried to find a use to what could be “food waste”, suggesting new utilities and reveling the  hidden potential, of what could easily end up in the waste bin.

Reinterpreting ancient gestures through modern form, TourDeFork created a collection of objects that offer a Second Chance of employment to food waste.

Second Chance will be in the Triennal until November the 14th
